Why did you choose your degree and what do you enjoy the most about it?
I chose accounting due to the various potential career paths it offers. I liked the idea of being able to work in different industries and learn different skills. The thing I enjoyed most about it is learning practical skills such as financial literacy and critical thinking and being able to apply this to my everyday life.

What has been your learning journey to date?
I started a Bachelor of Accounting at Charles Sturt University right after high school. I studied on campus for about a year and a half before moving back home to study via online. Online study has certainly been challenging as communications between classmates are often rare. But I have learned some valuable insights despite some challenges and was able to secure a job at one of the big accounting companies.

How important is having the CUC in your local town to you and why?
Having the CUC in Corryong has been a huge help with completing my studies. Moving back home to study online was challenging at first. But the CUC in Corryong allowed me to have a quiet place to study that’s free from distractions, which made me complete assessments quicker. The internet is also very
reliable considering we live in a regional area. CUC has also allowed me to interact with other students who also studies via online. Plus, we have Vicki and Celeste to help us with our tasks when we need.
